Welcome to Freedom Mountain Bulldogges, home of the Tiny Tanks! Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California, a dream was born because of the love and fascination of the Olde English Bulldogge.
We’ve always loved the classic look and easygoing temperament of the traditional English Bulldog. However, due to our lifestyle, we were hoping for a breed with a bit more athleticism and endurance. Once we discovered the Olde English Bulldogge, there was no going back. Our Tiny Tanks offer the perfect balance of strength, charm, and stamina.
Today’s Olde English Bulldogge is a modern reconstruction of the original Bulldogge from the 17th and 18th centuries. Through carefully planned breeding programs, various genetic crosses have been used to recreate the physical and temperamental traits of the original breed. Most of today’s Olde English Bulldogges trace their lineage to a combination of English Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers (APBTs), and Mastiffs. These breeds were selectively combined to achieve the desired characteristics of the historic English Bulldogge.
The result? An awesome Bulldogge of great athletic ability that is much healthier and physically fit. Our ideal Olde English Bulldogge is a loyal, courageous dog of medium size with a large, powerful head and a stout, muscular body, and looks like a Tiny Tank. Their temperament is stable and trustworthy, making them loyal companions and the ultimate family members for many years.
